I believe that a classroom environment should be active and engaging, and move from beyond the walls of the classroom to the field and laboratory for practical hands-on experience.
I helped develop an international field course on intertidal and nearshore marine ecology. I served as the lecturer for the semester-long classroom component and participated as a lead facilitator in the week-long field component.
